As the May half-term approaches, families in Solihull can look forward to an exciting array of activities at Touchwood Solihull, catering to both budding scientists and aspiring football stars alike.
Touchwood Solihull has partnered with Solihull-based company Robocode to offer an engaging and educational session from Monday 27th to Friday 31st May.
Aimed at children aged 6-17, this event promises to ignite their passion for STEM subjects through a series of interactive activities. From racing simulations to robotics coding and even 3D modeling exercises, children will have the opportunity to explore the world of technology, coding, and digital arts in a fun and innovative way.
Meanwhile, football enthusiasts can unleash their skills at ‘Footie Fest’, a week-long program of football challenges held in partnership with the Solihull Moors Foundation. From dribbling to shooting and testing their speed, children will be put through their paces to see if they have what it takes to become professional footballers. Prizes await the top performers, providing added incentive for participants to showcase their talents on the pitch.
Throughout the summer, the center will continue to host a variety of sports-related activities in celebration of major sporting events such as the 2024 Paris Olympics, the European Championships, and the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament.
Robocode and Footie Fest will take place from Monday 27th-Friday 31st May
