Solihull Construction Worker Jake Bishop Nominated for Trio of Awards

Jake Bishop, a construction worker from Solihull, is celebrating a remarkable achievement as he finds himself shortlisted for three prestigious regional and national awards.

Bishop’s nominations include the Emerging Property Person of the Year category at the Insider Midlands Residential Property Awards and finalist positions for the UK Construction Week (UKCW) Role Model and Rising Star at the National Federation of Builders (NFB) Construction Awards of Excellence.

Starting his journey as a trainee site manager with Coventry-based Deeley Construction in 2019, Bishop has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill. He completed a HNC qualification in 2021 and is currently on the verge of completing a BSc in Construction Management, all while fulfilling his role as a site manager.

Reflecting on his nominations, the 29-year-old expressed his pride in the recognition, emphasizing his ongoing commitment to learning and improvement. Bishop credited Deeley Construction for investing in his development over the past five years, providing numerous opportunities for growth and advancement.

Looking ahead, Bishop aspires to transition into project management and contract management roles, furthering his career trajectory within the construction industry.
